The nutritional therapy takes out harmful proteins (gluten and casein) and heals the gut. Society and the medical industry and medical community have taught us that pharmaceuticals are the answer and poor nutrition is not related to the manifestations of diseases.
There are many arguments as to why gluten and casein lead to disease. The simple answer is that gluten and casein cause inflammation in the gut. When your gut is inflamed, your immune system can be affected in may ways. Overall, gluten and casein are likely the top two most inflammatory foods.
The majority of diseases that gluten and casein impact are related to autoimmune diseases. This includes the brain and the body – any organ can be affected. An autoimmune reaction occurs when your immune system attacks healthy cells in your body by mistake (Medline Plus, N.D.) To etieate, when the gut becomes leaky and/or gut bacteria is alteed (gut dysbiosis) from inflammatory foods like gluten and casein, nutrients may not be absorbed effectively and the immune system can start attacking the brain/body.
